Dynamic Liquidity Planning with the Trinity TMS
Next to the rather standard treasury requirements (day-to-day cash management, loan management, foreign exchange, guarantees) Lamifil N.V. uses ‘invoice factoring’ to maximise their control over liquidity. When dealing with hundreds of invoices and regular drawdowns on the facility, this process gets pretty complex.

The liquidity planning sheet within Trinity contains different cash flow categories (e.g. opening balance, creditors, debtors, salary, tax, intercompany loans, interest, credit facility and headroom).

These cash flow categories are populated with figures coming from different sources. The starting balances use the (automated) imported bank balances as the source. The operational flows, such as creditors, debtors, salaries, and tax use a regular (automated) import from the ERP system as source. The cash flows that are the result of loans/deposits, FX settlements are automatically populated using the information from the underlying deals.

Factoring
Trinity processes the invoice amounts with corresponding invoice dates and maturities. This information is used together with the bank statements of the ‘credit facility current account’, under which the company can draw funds. The combination of information is used by Trinity to track the height and headroom of the credit facility. The result is a clear view on available liquidity (including headroom).

Amenities
One of the benefits of Trinity is that no special programming was required meaning that the complete set-up was delivered by configuring the standard.
